    Description

Here is a Fine vintage Original Lithograph Print of the legendary
    Air Force F-86H Sabre Jet
(Sabrejet) that dominated "MIG Alley" during the Korean War.  This Litho was Company-Issued by North American Aviation (NAA) nearly 70 years ago.   Powered by a General Electric J47 Turbojet Engine, the F-86 was the first United States Swept Wing Fighter Plane.  It's first flight was in 1947, and
North American Aviation produced over 9,000 of these fighter planes
.  The Version "H" Sabre Jet was an improvement over the interceptor Version "D", as it was redesigned as an All Weather Fighter Bomber.  Since it still required visual contact with the enemy to utilize its armaments, it is considered the last true Dog Fighter of the USAF inventory.  The F-86H was armed with six .50 caliber machine guns.
The F-86 Sabre Jets were finally retired in 1980
, though some other allied countries continued to fly them.
Condition of this lithographed Poster Print is excellent.  It measures 15" x 12 1/4" and its wide white border makes it an excellent candidate for framing.
