1902 DACHSHUND Church & White DOG Card J13 ARM & HAMMER G. Muss Arnolt

This colorful card is one in a series of  30 dog cards issued  during  1902 by  the Church and Dwight Company entitled “Champion Dogs”.  This series is designated as J13 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue. One was inserted into each package of their Arm and Hammer and Cow Brand Baking Soda and Saleratus.  Each card features a picture of the breed on the front of the card originally painted by the famous Dog portrait Artist  G. MUSS ARNOLT , and an informative description and history of the breed on the back. This card features a DACHSHUND  and is number 2 in the series. This on one of the large sized versions measuring  2 7/8 inches by 1 7/8 inches approximately inches approx. The card does have some light corner wear, but is free from creases, and displays very well.   I have scanned the front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for  yourself. This card would make an excellent gift or display piece for any owner, breeder, or enthusiast of this breed
